Eurotech's CPU-1440 low power PC/104+ board includes ISA and DOS Support
Eurotech has launched the CPU-1440, a new low power PC/104+ module based on the Vortex86DX processor.

Eurotech has launched the CPU-1440, a new low power PC/104+ module based on the Vortex86DX processor. Consuming less than 4W of power and  featuring fanless operation, the CPU-1440 provides x86 compatibility for legacy applications using DOS as well as for more current PC/104+ embedded applications using Linux and Windows CE.

The CPU-1440 is designed for installations requiring rugged construction and high reliability, such as those in transportation applications. The CPU-1440 features soldered down RAM and an onboard Flash Disk with

extended temperature range options (-40 to +70 degrees C). This small form factor board (97 x 100mm) offers PC/104 and PC/104+ bus expansion with ISA support.

The CPU-1440 is targeted for any application where robustness and reliability are required, such as in machine controllers, sealed thin clients, POS and MMI systems, and industrial gateways.

The CPU-1440 Development Kit

The CPU-1440 Development Kit offers a ready to run application development environment with a choice of preinstalled operating systems and drivers. The kit allows users to start application development immediately, featuring the CPU-1440 board, a break out board giving standard peripheral connectors, the user's choice of pre-ported operating system (DOS, Linux or WinCE) and an integrated display. The kit is easy to use, cuts development time and allows full access to all board features.

Availability
