Cosmic Circuits has said that it is partnering with Newlinktek, a Korean distribution company for EDA and IP, to reach out to SoC customers in Korea.
Many of Cosmic's IP cores in nanometer technology nodes covering data converters, analog front-end platforms for wireless and audio, power-management, clocking and MIPI interfaces and many of which are needed in SoC’s designed by Korean semiconductor companies.
Ganapathy Subramaniam, CEO, Cosmic Circuits, said Newlinktek has broad experience in IP sales and also has a good network with semiconductor companies and government institutions in Korea. Korea is an important market for Cosmic and we believe this partnership will strengthen the relationship we have with customers in Korea.Young-Tae Yu, CEO, Newlinktek, said Korean Semiconductor companies are focused heavily on consumer electronics, an area where Cosmic has a number of solutions available. Cosmic Circuits’ portfolio has solutions tailored for such applications including analog front-ends for WIFI and LTE, MIPI Interface for
standards such as CSI, DSI, DigRFV4 and LLI, Phase Locked loops,
regulators and audio front-ends.
Cosmic has already taped out designs in leading edge technologies such as 28nm. This combination of focus on consumer electronics and commitment to advance technology will help Newlinktekstrengthen Cosmic’s relationship with Korean customers, he added.
